Congratulations to Michael Baumeister for winning Ivy Hill's Geo Bee! He will move on to the state competition at a later date. We want to congratulate all of the 5th graders who participated and give a special thank you to our judges, including Dr. Bein. We will all be cheering on Michael as he moves forward in the competition.
Ivy Hill has entered the Follett Challenge, in which we could win up to $30,000! Our LMC and tech team have put together a great proposal regarding coding and how we would like to progress in this offering to our students. Please tell everyone you know to vote and do it everyday until the contest ends! Voting ends this Friday, January 30, 2015. Please click the link below to see our entry and to vote for Ivy Hill! Thank you for your support.
http://follettchallenge.com/video.cfm?id=400 No, we aren't talking about the Chicago Bears....it's our first grade bears! Once again, Mrs. Opitz put together an amazing show. The first graders enjoyed it and I could see quite a few actors in the making. Congratulations to our amazing first graders...you rocked!
Exciting things are happening at Ivy...check out the slideshow to see!
There are so many exciting things happening at Ivy, especially during our Non-Fiction November! The students are all competing to gather facts from non-fiction, and trust me, the competition is heating up! From learning about a turkey to the solar system, the students are excited each day to tell me the facts they have learned. I can't wait to see who our winner is!
